It is with a heavy heart that I come bearing the news that the Pokemon Sword and Shield TCG expansion is going to have its conclusive set in two months, yet it is also with great joy that I can tell you all about it! November 11th is when Silver Tempest is set to release, what will be known as the last non-special Pokemon set of the Sword and Shield era. This set is going to mark the end of something great, an era which will be looked back on with great nostalgia in the not so distant future. While it is hard to say if this set will hold up economically, looking at the cards it is impossible to deny how great of an overall set it will be! Silver Tempest will be known as SWSH12, and this is all you need to know about it moving forward!
As you may have been able to guess from the name of the card list, as well as a few of the featured Pokemon, this set seems to have a sort of snowy/ winter motif behind it, which is simply excellent timing. As we had guessed on an earlier article, Lugia will be one of the Pokemon taking center stage this time around, along with Alolan Vulpix, and the two new Regi forms.
For those of you interested in what the card list is going to look like, we already have a very good idea. This set will be the combination of the two previous Japanese sets: Incandescent Arcana and Paradigm Trigger. These two sets brought together is a match made in heaven, just like Cheez-its and chocolate. That being said however, we still have yet to see all of the cards of Paradigm Trigger, meaning that some of the more exciting cards are reliant on leaks at the moment.
If any part of this set catches your eye, I'd highly recommend jumping on it right away. Make sure to keep a lookout for preorders being taken at the Stadium, in order to get an amazing deal and guarantee yourself some packs of this set! Considering this set is coming out in November, many collectors won't have too many of these cards in their collections. Maybe this should be a set to consider gifting to any friends and family you may have that love collecting. I know personally if anybody got me a pack from Silver Tempest I'd be overjoyed!
